The 7th Annual Fashion Week Tampa

Posted on September 23 2014

The 7th Annual Fashion Week Tampa Bay delivered lots of super sweet with a touch of edgy rebel. Showcasing an array of Fashion designer talents it offered a variety of styles and looks. The vast color palettes ranged from soft pink pastels and creams to vibrant hues of tangerine, turquoise, fuchsia and emerald. Fabrics included sheer flowing layers cascading as models pranced down the runway but included textiles like architectural plaids and natural mesh. Makeup looks featured everything from futuristic dewy simmering faces to festive sparkly vibrant colors. These make up looks where framed by an adornment of loose willowy braids and long tussled curls. Accessories felt minimal other than lace framed eyepieces, a hoola-hoop and headphones.
Some of the standout designers were Alexandra Lin presenting simple silhouettes that felt approachable and elegant. The draping fabrics reflected her design inspiration of "flirty and feminine."
On the flip side Chavon Shree designs reflected form fitting tie dye styles that where fun and fashioned to work with a female who loves her curves. Vibrant rich colors to suit a person who is ready to be noticed.
Kato Kaelins line of Slacker men's lounge wear was upstaged by his shirtless male models with ultra buff bodies donning six pack abs...which really got the crowd going. Made it difficult to observe the fashions he was presenting  ;)
Over all a very pleasing presentation of Tampa Bays Designers both established and new to the industry.
